This hotel was located in a very central area near the Ourika valley as well as walking distance from newer part of Marrakech. And it's not too far away from Ask Italian, ate there once or twice...

Traditional Moroccan house with beautiful tiled walls and carved wooden details. Close proximity to Jemaa El Fna Square and its traditional markets. Access to a rooftop terrace with shaded dining areas and day beds. Air-conditioned rooms with traditional Moroccan tiles and private bathrooms. Delicious Moroccan-style breakfast served on the patio or rooftop terrace. Friendly and helpful 24-hour front desk staff.
Challenging to find the riad for first-time visitors, especially if driving.

The location was perfect - just a short walk away from the main square and tucked away in a calm area. The staff here were exceptional - friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. They provided great recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. the breakfast at this hotel was delicious and served in a beautiful patio area, adding to the overall charm of the stay.
Finding the hotel in the bustling medina can be a bit tricky, but the staff was more than willing to help with directions. the rooms were on the smaller side and not well insulated, meaning noise from outside could be heard at times.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, giving us great tips on where to go for a fun night out. The location was perfect for us party-loving teens, with lots of cool clubs and bars nearby. We had a blast exploring the vibrant nightlife of Marrakesh!
The only thing we wished for was a pool at the riad. It would have been so much fun to chill and hang out by the pool during the day before heading out for our night adventures.

I recently stayed at Riad Makila for 5 nights during my trip to Morocco. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the main square, yet tucked away in the quiet alleys of the medina. Muhammad and Abdul were exceptional, taking great care of us by preparing beautiful breakfasts and assisting with our laundry. The riad had a lovely patio where we enjoyed our meals. Moreover, Siad, the staff member, was amazing. He provided helpful tips and ensured my safety by checking in on me. His demonstration of making Moroccan tea made for a delightful ending to my trip.
I do recommend this hotel.
